Betty L. Burgan, 74, of Charleroi, died Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Washington County Health Center. Born in Uniontown on May 20, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Charles West and Martha Mae Lilley West. Betty worked in housekeeping at Mon Valley Hospital Inc. and also the New Eagle Tastee Freeze. She is survived by her son, David (Caroline) Burgan of Rostraver Twp; daughters, Carla Megela of Donora and Betty (Edward) Megela of Donora; grandchildren, Jake Burgan, Coleton Megela, Breanna Megela, Emalee Megela, Derrick Megela, Cassandra Megela, Megan Megela and Morgan Megela; brothers, Donald Lilley of Masontown and Charles William (Dorothy) West of Jones Mills PA; sisters, Genevieve (Thom) Johnson of Severna Park, MD, Wanda L. (Walt) David of Indiana PA and Janet (Ron) Shumar of Brownsville. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Burgan; and three brothers, Robert Lilley, Glenn West and Clarence West. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Sommerfeldt officiating. Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery.
