October 28, 1925—April 14, 2018 Betty Davis, 92, of Albany passed away Saturday at Lebanon Hospital. Born in Silverton to Evert L. and Leona S. (Myers) Fuller, Betty attended Silverton schools until moving to Willamina where she graduated in 1943. She was a secretary in Salem until her marriage May 18, 1946 to Russell C. Davis at Jason Lee Methodist Church in Salem. Betty was a secretary/bookkeeper at various businesses, including Sno Temp Cold Storage until her retirement in 1991. After her retirement she spent two years in voluntary missionary service in Belgium and Texas. Upon her return to Albany she was a temp or part time worker until early 2006. Betty enjoyed her family, grandchildren and her church, First Assembly of God in Albany. She was an avid reader and enjoyed travel, music, needlework, crafts, genealogy and Volksmarching. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell in 1986, her parents, and her brother Ted Zetterberg. Survivors include daughters Cheryl Moe of McMinnville, Gloria Cernin of Aloha, and Barbara “Hoppy” Foster of Brownsville; grandchildren Todd Bell of Sisters, Jodi Olson of Beaverton, Kirt Olson of Hillsboro, Derek Lambert of St. Louis, David Cernin of Hillsboro, Hank McDonald of Scio and Sam McDonald of Mill City; and 8 great grandchildren. John 14:28 “If you love me, you will rejoice with me because I’ve gone to be with Jesus.” A celebration of Betty’s life will be from 1 to 3pm Sunday April 29th, with remarks at 2pm, at Millersburg City Park.
