Obituary for Orin Clay Orin Clay, of Calera, Oklahoma was born March 27, 1931 to E.C. and Artie (Haynes) Clay. He passed away on April 11, 2018 at the age of 87 years and 14 days. He grew up in the Rosedale and Byars area. He served our country in the U.S. Army and then joined the U.S. Navy. He was married to Mildred Lavon Pennington on June 29, 1954 in Stratford, Oklahoma. They spent much time in the Durant, Duncan, and Broken Bow area before moving to Calera over 25 years ago. He worked as a mechanic, and was a member of the Calera Church of Christ. Preceded by; one daughter Carol Lynne; two brothers; Hubert and Bill; two sisters, Aurella (Pete) and Dora Mae. Survived by; his wife Mildred Lavon Clay of the home in Calera, Ok. two daughters; Connie Reed of Ada, Ok. Cathy Hendricks of Broken Bow, OK. two grandchildren; Carrie Fletcher & husband Josh of Broken Bow, OK.; Chris Hendricks and wife Candace of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Leo Clay & wife Valdean of Oklahoma City, OKlahoma; five great grandchildren; Jaren, Bailey, and Hunter Hendricks, Becca Cunningham, Kella Fletcher and a special dog OZ. Graveside Services; 2:00 PM Wednesday April 18, 2018 in McGee Cemetery Stratford, Oklahoma. Officiating; Rev. Travis Huffman Under the direction of DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home Stratford, Oklahoma.
