PHYLLIS E. BUTSCH Phyllis E. Butsch, 90, of Piqua, passed away at 11:16 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born June 4, 1927 in Piqua to the late Leonard and Erma F. (Derr) Sullenberger. She married Richard C. Butsch in August of 1948, a marriage that would span seventy years; and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, William Butsch and Michael (Janet) Butsch all of Piqua; two grandchildren, Steve (Julie) Butsch, Bryan (Jennifer) Butsch; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Scott Butsch and four sisters, Jean Finkle, Wanda Popp, Doris Werst, and Bea Pearson. Mrs. Butsch was a graduate of Piqua Central High School and served as a Cook for Favorite Hill Elementary School and Bennett Junior High School for many years. She volunteered at the Bethany Center for several years and enjoyed playing Bingo, and visiting Casino’s. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by her husband, children and grandchildren. A time to honor her life will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. John McRoberts officiating.
