Evelyn L Bourgeois 1930 2018

Obituary of Evelyn Bourgeois Evelyn L. Bourgeois, of Taberg, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her home. She was born in Morrisville on March 9, 1930, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mildred Paddock Burk. On June 30, 1951 she married Leonard Russell, Sr. He passed away on February 19, 1990. She later married Walter Bourgeois on April 29, 1995. He passed away on November 2, 2001. Evelyn was a nurse’s aid for many years and worked for UNIVAC and RCIL Independent Care of Utica. She is survived by: five daughters, Rebecca (Melvin) Drake of Richmond, VA, Linda Russell of Rome, Connie (Richard) Conover of Rome, Laurie (Paul Worlock) Dyer of Rome and Christine Webb of Cleveland: five sons, Leonard Russell Jr. of Camden, Daniel (Diane) Russell of Calcium, NY, Thomas Russell of Taberg, Timothy (Sandra) Russell of Taberg and Scott Russell of Syracuse; three sisters, Beatrice Brown of Montour Falls, NY, Mary Ott of North Carolina and Elizabeth (Bob) James of Pennsylvania; three brothers, Ward Burk of Rome, Willard (Ruth Ann) Burk of Rome and Steve (Pat) Burk of Pulaski; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Russell; and a sister Shirley Mangan. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00AM at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Interment will take place in Maple Flats Cemetery in Cleveland. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Thursday from 4-7:00PM.
