Obituary of Thomas Seifert, Jr.
Thomas J. Seifert, Jr., age 70, died Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ. He was born in New York, NY on April 9, 1947. Thomas had resided in Oradell and Franklin Lakes before moving to Wyckoff 13 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Thomas served as the Business Agent for the Plumbers Local 14, Lodi, NJ. He was very active in promoting the Plumbers Local 14 during his 38 years of employment. Thomas is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Rosemary Seifert, his loving children; Lori Mufson and her husband, Nat, Donna Mahan, Lisa Hrykso and her husband, Stephen, Jennifer Abraham and her husband, Ken, Douglas Messineo and his wife, Sarah and Susan Mock. Also surviving are his father, Thomas J. Seifert, Sr., his brother, Paul Seifert and his wife, Andrea, his sister, Patricia Meyer and his sister-in-law, Theresa Wiseman. Left to carry on their grandfather’s legacy are his 14 grandchildren; Pamela, Alexis, Ryan, Madison, Max, Jack, Megan, Elizabeth, Alison, Jake, Charlie, Aidan, Stephany and Alex. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 5th from 4 – 8 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 6th, 10:30 am at Ascension RC Church, 256 Azalea Drive, New Milford, NJ 07646. A private cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donation in Thomas’ name may be made to the Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corp., P.O. Box 214, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
