Obituary of Dale DeWinter
Dale L. DeWinter, age 69, of Lake Ozark, Missouri passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at his home.
Dale was born on July 10, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of Ernest and Juanita (Irvin) DeWinter.
On September 12, 1986 he was united in marriage to Sue Gritton in St. Louis, Missouri. Together they shared over 31 years of marriage at the time of his death.
Dale was passionate about drag racing and anything that had to do with cars. He was the third generation owner and president of Suburban Tire Co., started by his grandfather Ernest, and had served as past President of The Missouri Tire Dealer’s Association. Dale was a member of Lake Ozark Christian Church and served faithfully as a deacon. Being very involved in his church was something he enjoyed.
Dale is survived by his wife Sue DeWinter; his son David Mohler and wife Samantha of O’Fallon, Missouri; his daughters Michelle Wingfield and husband Mark of Tucson, Arizona and Andrea Hawkins and husband John of Greenbrier, Arkansas; one sister Joy Fager and husband Richard of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren Carolyn Pascual, Kaitlyn Noris, Morgan Cooper, Nicholas Cooper, Sarah Mohler, Chelsea Mohler, Logan Mohler, Cameron Hawkins, Savanna Hawkins and Paige Hawkins; and three great grandchildren Abraham Noris, Diego Noris and Finley Mohler.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Juanita DeWinter and his daughter Carolyn Flynn.
Service will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Ozark Christian Church, Lake Ozark, Missouri. Following the service, the family will welcome friends for visitation at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
