GOOLEY, WILLIAM R. SR, known also as Bill, Billy, or Billy Boy, of Norwood, MA, age 82, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday April 10, 2018. Born in Boston, MA on December 28,1936, he was the Son of the late Edward A. Gooley and Kate (Monroe) Gooley. Brother of the late Joan (Gooley) Haigh and Brother in law to the late Paul Haigh. William grew up in Hyde Park, married and later moved to Stoughton to raised his Family. Gooley of Canton, Michele Allen of Arlington and her husband Chris Allen, and the late William R. Gooley, Jr. William had 9 wonderful Grandchildren: Kaylyn, Rebecca, Connor, Joseph, Isabella, Alison, Madison, Caleigh and Teagan. He was Uncle to the late Eric Haigh and Great Uncle to Jason Haigh. William was a member of the Masons and the former Owner of Bill’s Norwood Plaza Mobil in Norwood, MA for many Years. Later in his semi-retirement he work at the Sunoco in Canton. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 4-7 PM, at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St, Norwood, MA., a Funeral Home Service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 7PM. At the request of the Family the Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers; Donations may be made in Williams name to the: Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley St, West Bridgewater, MA, 02379
