(Nee Mc Laughlin). Went to her Eternal Rest on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Carl Bohmann and the late famous entertainer and Big Band leader Benny Meroff. Mother of the late Charles H. Meroff. Cherished grandmother of the late Bryan (Laura) Meroff, Bruce Meroff, Lori Jo (Steve) Kaczmarek and Charles (Debbie) Meroff. Loving great-grandma of Matthew, Jessica, Jamie and Summer. Proud great-great grandma of Lotus and Sammy. Dear aunt of Sandra Priebe and great aunt of Austin Priebe and Caroline Priebe. Further survived by many loving relatives and friends.
During WWII, Kitty and Benny performed with the USO, the Chicago Theater and played with many famous entertainers and musicians of that time. After retiring from show business, Kitty was very involved in her Elm Grove community. She also became a realtor for Wauwatosa Realty.
Special thanks to the staff at Congregational Home and Vitas for their care. Also, a special Thank You to Marge Mielke and Sandra Priebe from Lori Jo and Charlie.
Kitty loved her family immensely. She helped to raise and guide her grandchildren to be productive members of society for which they will forever be grateful to her.
A Celebration of Kitty’s Life will be held on Sunday, April 15 at The Knights of Columbus, 4240 Water St, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051 from 12:00 to 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations will be excepted and donated to the USO.
