Obituary of Berndetta Wilke
Berndetta “Bernie” Wilke, age 85, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at her residence.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor Timothy Wenger will officiate. Burial will take place at Arpin Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Bernie was born February 23, 1933 in Whiting, WI to Leon and Genevieve Morris. On October 6, 1951, she was married to Donald Wilke and they spent 60 wonderful years together, until his death on March 28, 2012. For much of her life, Bernie was an active member at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, where she taught Sunday school. She worked at K-Mart in Wisconsin Rapids, and enjoyed interacting with her many customers. Bernie liked to quilt, read books, and play bunco. She adored animals and would spend time bird watching. Above all, Bernie was a loving, caring mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She is loved and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children: Kim (Glen, deceased) Noska and Karen Wilke; granddaughters: McKenna and Kendra Noska; step-grandson, Jessi (Amanda) Lordson; and many extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, husband, and son-in-law, Bernie is preceded in death by her siblings: Ruby, Lillith, and Verna.
