Stephen Maurice Findley 2018

Stephen Maurice Findley, age 67, Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous 2.5-year battle with cancer. Member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. Retired Sales Representative from Airgas Mid America. Steve was a selfless and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, and uncle to many. Preceded in death by parents, Maurice and Mabel Findley.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Jeana Findley, and his sons of whom he was so very proud, John Findley (Jenelle), Seattle, WA, and Daniel Findley, Charleston, SC. In his final days, Steve was able to meet his first grandchild, Sienna Jean Findley. She will forever hear stories of her grandfather’s humorous wit, kind spirit, wise council, and his strong family values. Survivors also include: brother, Patrick (Shannon) Findley, sisters, Mary Ann (Bob) Taylor, Barbara (Bill) Powers, and Marty (Brian) Margetts, mother-in-law, Mary Jean Walker, and brothers-in-law Croft (Dottie) Walker and David (Tammy) Walker, and many nephews and nieces. Steve was loved and cherished by a large extended family who will miss his big smile, his sense of humor, and his genuine loving heart.
Receiving of friends will be Sunday, April 1, 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Stevens Mortuary. Funeral mass will be Monday, April 2, 10:00 a.m., at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church followed by entombment at Greenwood Cemetery at 12:00 noon, Fr. Chris Michelson officiating.
