Obituary of Sara Miller
Sara Catherine Miller, 91, widow of Robert Leonard Miller, died Thursday, March 29, 2018 at her home in Dalzell.
Born in Martinsburg, WV, she was a daughter of the late James Edmond Beard and Mary Ellen VanMetre Beard.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Friendship Chapel at Shaw Air Force Base and took great joy in serving in children’s ministries at various other churches during the years.
Surviving are three sons, James Dean Miller (Brenda), Leonard Paul Miller all of Dalzell and Robert Allen Miller (Dianne) of Oviedo, FL; one daughter, Robin Christmas (Deleon) of Sumter; one sister, Mary Sophrona Burns of Chambersburg, PA; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Jan Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Steven A. Miller officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home.
