Edith D Barlow 2018

Edith D. Barlow (Deer), 97, formerly of Narragansett, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2018. She was the wife of the late Peter H. Barlow, Jr.
Born in Clarks Hill, IN, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Genevieve (Dwyer) Deer.
Mrs. Barlow graduated from St. Xavier Academy and Katherine Gibbs.
She was a voracious reader and avid sports fan particularly of the Boston Red Sox, Notre Dame football and LaSalle Academy hockey.
Edith travelled extensively to Europe participating in Elderhostel Travel Tours, with her favorite place being Edinburgh, Scotland.
Mom loved the summers at Bonnet Shores and in retirement with Dad, wintered in Seminole, FL.
She leaves five children, Kathleen B. Chrostowski (Matthew) of North Kingstown, Peter G. Barlow (Anne Marie) of West Kingston, Mark S. Barlow (Elaine) of Newport, Daniel R. Barlow of Wakefield and Anne E. Goins (Joseph) of Folsom, CA; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
The Barlow family would like to thank Lori Booher, and the staff of Blenheim Assisted living and Kindred Hospice for their wonderful care.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 9:30-10:30am in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Kindred Hospice will be appreciated.
