Arlene Stine, 92, formerly of Palmer Township, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 in Old Orchard Healthcare Center.
Born in Phillipsburg, NJ on June 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Lillian (Snyder) Doyle. Arlene was deeply loved and raised by her grandparents Edward (Papa) Doyle and Gertrude (Mama) Bright Doyle. She was married to the late Raymond Stahley and the late John Stine.
Arlene took pride in the home she and John built in Palmer Township where she resided for over 50 years. She enjoyed walking on the bike path, gardening, reading, going to plays and lunches with her friends, and visiting with her neighbors on her porch. She loved animals, especially dogs, and lovingly remembered her years with Josh, Jerry, Auggie and Buddy.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Stahley and her partner Cindy Hawley, of Nazareth; son, Gary Stahley and wife Jamie, of Ulysses; step-daughter, Christine Bickford, of Keysville, VA; son-in-law, Carl Williams, of Easton; grandchildren, Charles and John Ottaviano, Sarah Osgood, Matthew, Aaron and Rebekah Stahley, Rachel Palmatier, David “Ben” Stahley, Kristine Friedman, Tara Clarke, Tina Hicks, Ty Dunbar and Tim Bickford; great-grandchildren, Ciarra, Sergio, Chloe, John and Joe Ottaviano, Lily and Isaac Martinez, Joplin and Sheamus Osgood, Devin and Ella Stahley, Paiton, Ayden and Emmarie Whipple, Averee, Tayler and Addysen Palmatier, Katrina, Will and Jake Friedman, Jonathan Clarke, Lilly, Emma and Abby Hicks, Sarah, Noah and Olivia Dunbar, Autumn and Tim Bickford; great-great-grandchild, Josaphina Ottaviano; sister-in-law, Gloria Doyle; and nephew, Jim Doyle.
Arlene was predeceased by her grandparents, parents, husbands, Raymond Stahley and John Stine, daughter, Eileen Williams, infant son, Edward, and half-siblings, Richard Doyle and Barbara Eike.
