John Macmillan Borthwick 2018

JOHN MACMILLAN BORTHWICK, passed away on March 28, 2018, at the age of 81 years.
A native of East Cleveland, John was a proud graduate of Shaw High School class of 1954 and Western Reserve University. He attained a Bachelors degree in Economics and a Masters of Business Administration.
In 1958, he began his career with The Illuminating Company where he was to spend his entire career working in the general accounting department, rising to Controller.
John served on the board of The Cleveland Theatre of the Deaf (SignStage), assisting the hearing impaired in the greater Cleveland community.
He is survived and will be fondly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Patricia (nee Stephens); sons, Scott (deceased), Douglas, Bruce (wife Diann, nee Brom), and daughter, Cynthia Wesseler (husband Doug); grandchildren, Fiona, Ian, Kailey, Norah, Jack, and Ainsley; and sister, Elsie Pandilidis. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elsie Borthwick (nee Jones).
John was a member of the Shaw High and Western Reserve football teams, enjoyed his Scottish heritage, sailing, gardening, and most importantly, friends and family.
A private family burial and service was held at Acacia Memorial Park Cemetery in Mayfield Heights on Saturday, March 31, 2018.
