Devon George Jones 2018

Devon George Jones’ amazing life started on February 25th, 1995 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He went home to be with the Lord at the age of 23 on March 28th, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was a top 10 graduate at Ritchie County High School where he excelled in football, wrestling, and track. He later went on to attend Marshall University. He was a proud member of Phi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Afterwards, he was proud to help his dad with his construction company as Vice President, or as he called himself “Veep”. His favorite pastimes were to fish, hunt with his father, workout, and play Madden football. He had a great sense of humor and always knew how to make everyone laugh. He had a laugh that was contagious matched by his kind heart and love of people, especially children and anyone that needed a helping hand. He has touched so many lives and will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Devon is survived by his proud parents, Dean Jones Jr. and Tanya Jean Jones (Perrine), his sister, T.J. Jones, future brother in law, Carl Boyles, his grandparents, Karen Perrine, Karen Jones, and Walton Dean Jones Sr., and Aunts Michelle Isaacs (Jason Isaacs), Amanda Reed (Jason Reed), Kelly Davis (Joe Davis), Lee Reed, Mary Chris Adams (Todd Adams), and his uncle Jeremy Jones, as well as many cousins. His best friend, Brad Riddle who was like a brother to him.
He was proceeded in death by his grandfather George C. Perrine and cousin, Kaylee Page Reed.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Burial will be at the Stewart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 – 8 on Monday and for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
