Marguerite T Anderson 2018

Marguerite Taylor Anderson was a beloved wife and mother. After suffering years of debilitating fibromyalgia, she passed away at age 68 on March 13, 2018.
After graduating from Enloe High School, Marguerite volunteered for Rufus Edmisten during his successful race for Attorney General. During her long career at the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), she furthered her education at Wake Technical Community College with courses in computer programming among others. She ultimately retired… as Processing Assistant Level V and was appointed to the prestigious Order of the Long Leaf Pine by Governor Michael Easley.
Marguerite was a proud and faithful member of First Cosmopolitan Baptist Church pastored by Dr. W.B. Lewis. She delighted in helping and showing kindness to others, including making custom birthday cakes. But while she put others before herself, she put God above all things. She spread joy while serving at her church by teaching Sunday School, singing in a choir and participating in the church Passion Plays and other ministries. She also began the original church traditions of serving refreshments for the Children’s Choir every 2nd Sunday and annual seniors’ banquet.
She loved her all of family from matriarchs to cousins abroad to grandchildren who visited her every chance while she was sick and shut in since retirement from the SBI.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her brother Ivan L. Taylor, Sr. She is survived by husband, Alphonzy Anderson; son, Mr. Alphonzy Anderson, Jr.; daughter, Dr. Tonya R. Anderson; sisters Shirley T. Worth, Linda Taylor, Wilhelmina T. Wiggins, Gilda T. Wright, Juanita E. Taylor; brother, Chauncey F. Taylor; brothers-in-law Gerald Worth, Johnny Wiggins, Mentha Beverly, Lee Otis Anderson, Eddie R.
