Obituary of Thomas Devine, Jr.
Thomas A. Devine, Jr., 83, of Freehold passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born and raised in Madison and had lived in Keansburg before settling in Freehold in 1972. Thomas was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a union iron worker for over 40 years at Local 11 in Bloomfield. Thomas enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and spending time at the racetrack (harness).
Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine Devine in 2000; and sisters, Rita Murray and Dolores Zeto. He is survived by his sons, Thomas A. Devine, III and his wife, Sue of Millstone and Robert J. Devine, Sr. and his wife, Monica of Freehold; grandchildren, Heather Shea, Janie, and Robert, Jr.; and his significant other, Cecelia Jelinsky.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM funeral service on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
