Obituary of Maureen Lamb
Maureen E. Lamb, 72 of Clifton, NJ, formerly a longtime Montclair resident, passed away suddenly, Monday, March 26th at Hackensack-UMC Mountainside Hospital. Viewing services will be held at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park St. Montclair, on Monday April 2nd from 4pm-8pm. The funeral mass will be at Immaculate Conception Church, Montclair on Tuesday, April 3rd at 10:30am. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair.
Maureen was the beloved daughter of the late Edward T. Lamb and the late Jane (Meehan) Lamb. She was predeceased by her brother Edward F., and her sisters Virginia (Lamb) Clark and Janie and her brother-in-law Peter Fess. Maureen is survived by her brother Bobby and his wife Kathy of Lake Como, NJ and her sister Maryanne Fess of Fairfield, NJ. She was the beloved aunt of Dennis (Marie), the late Kevin, Colleen (Scot), Kathleen, Kelly, Sean (Amy), Bevin (Ralph), Meghan (Duke) and Tracey. She also is survived by 13 grand-nieces and nephews.
Maureen attended both grammar and high school at Immaculate Conception in Montclair, NJ and remained lifelong friends with her classmates. Maureen worked her entire career at New Jersey Bell Telephone Company and continued those friendships after her retirement. She loved her Irish heritage, the Jersey Shore, going on cruises all while being with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maureen’s name to Immaculate Conception Church, 30 North Fullerton Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07042.
