Obituary of Mary Placentino
Placentino, Mary C. (nee Bino), age 87 of Toms River, formerly of Paterson at rest in Wayne on March 24, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Placentino (2000). Loving Mother of Donna L. Dragone and her husband Eugene of Totowa and John Placentino and his wife Carolyn of Totowa. Dear grandmother of Jessica, Darren, and Lauren Dragone and Jonathan, Nicholas, and Justin Placentino. Great grandmother of Madden Gabriel Ortiz. Also surviving are several adored nieces and her beloved pet dog, Molly. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson for most of her life before moving toToms River. She was an Office Administrator for Thomas’ English Muffins, Totowa for many years before retiring in 1997. Mrs. Placentino enjoyed her floral garden and was an avid reader. She was Frank Sinatra’s biggest fan, and culminated this when he kissed her on the lips. She was a great cookie baker and everyone looked forward to her Christmas cookie trays. She liked to play canasta and scrabble and she loved the Jersey shore. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and her great grandson. Cremation was private. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Judes’s Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105. Arrangements were entrusted to the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, N.J. 07512.
