Mrs. Fotine (Tina) (Solomos) Stamulis, age 96, of Saugus, died peacefully at Sunrise of Lynnfield, on Wednesday March 28, 2018. She was the wife of the late Thomas Stamulis with whom she shared 34 years of marriage. Born and raised in West Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Katina and Michael Solomos. Tina was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1939. Tina later moved to Saugus where she lived the remainder of her life.
Prior to her retirement, Tina had worked as a Secretary /Administrator at ATT/New England Telephone for many years. She was also the Secretary /Treasurer for the Stamulis Brothers Trucking business. Tina was also affectionately known as Mrs. T to her friends and family.
Tina was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Tom and Tina enjoyed socializing, travel and spending summers at their beach home in Scarborough, ME where she cooked her grandkids their favorite avgolemono soup all while beating them at card games like Michigan Rummy. Tina also enjoyed crocheting and later in her life spending her winters in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Tina is survived by her sister Marina (Mary) and her husband Larry Whittier of Tewksbury MA, her grandchildren, Tom Stamulis of Reston, VA, George Stamulis of Rye, NH and Denise Stamulis of Bradford, MA and her great grandchildren, Taylor Stamulis, Jordan Stamulis, Amalia Panagiotakopoulos and Melina Panagiotakopoulos. She was also the mother of the late Dennis W. Stamulis and his wife Carol, the late John Peter Stamulis, and the sister of the late John, Harry and William Solomos and partner of the late Ralph Petrosino.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11am in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9am-11am, prior to the service. Those who prefer may make donations to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 South Common St. Lynn, MA 01902.
