Catherine I Simone Gallo 2018

Catherine I. (Simone) Gallo, age 93, of Peabody, passed away on March 26, 2018 in the Brentwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Danvers. She was the devoted wife of the late Armando Gallo with whom she had shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Lynn on May 24, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (DiGiacomo) Simone.
Catherine loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She had a passion for cooking, baking and sewing, and making a loving home for her family.
She was the loving mother of Armando Gallo, Jr. and his wife Karol of Danvers and Linda Colagiovanni and her husband Daniel of Danvers; cherished grandmother of David Gallo and his wife Andrea of Wallingford, CT, Jeffrey Gallo and his wife Isabel of Georgetown, and Danielle McSweeney and her husband Barry of Middleton; great-grandmother of Justice, Zoe and Catalina; beloved sister of Josephine Gallo, Marie Flynn and her husband Keith, Gloria Vinard, and the late Theresa Barbanti, Frank Simone and Joseph Simone. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Shore Elder Services, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 200, Danvers, MA 01923, the Friends of the Peabody Council on Aging, 75R Central St, Peabody, MA 01960, or to a charity of your choice.
