Susan A Morthole 1945 2018

Obituary of Susan Morthole
Susan A. Morthole, 72, of Jacksonville, died Friday, March 23, 2018, at Heritage Health in Jacksonville. She was born May 17, 1945, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Patrick A. and Eileen E. Berner McHatton.
Susan is survived by two daughters, Tiffany McDannald (fiancé, Sean Bartlett) and Tarah (husband, Chris) Richardson, both of Jacksonville, five grandchildren, Chloe and Cole McDannald and Kenady, Tyson, and Tanner Richardson, all of Jacksonville; one brother, Dennis (wife, Judi) McHatton of Springfield, one sister, Marsha McHatton of Holt, Michigan, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Although some will remember her from working at the Camera Shop or Wareco, she was employed at MacMurray College for many years. First, in the Gifted Children program and later, in the Financial Aid office. More recently, she worked at Computer Sciences Corporation until her retirement.
Susan had several passions. Anyone driving past her house saw evidence of her love of flowers. She had a passion for helping others. Her health challenges never dampened her spirit of giving. Especially, through her church. Most of all, she had a passion for her family and friends. Whether you knew her as Sam, Sue, Susan, Momma Sue, Sister Sue, Aunt Sue, Thister, Momma, or Maw Maw, she loved you. Nothing pleased her more than to gather with others to share good times.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends following the service at the church. Private burial will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church. The Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left online at
