Robert Richey 2018

Precious son of the late Robert Richey and Jeanne Shaw-succumbed to a rare and aggressive cancer at 3:37 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Providence Critical Care Center in Anchorage, Alaska, only two months after being diagnosed.
Bob was born and raised in Seward, Alaska. He graduated from Seward High School in June 1982. He continued his education at the Gemology Institute of American in Santa Monica, Calif. Bob was a Mensa Society member. He spent his entire adult life in all facets of the jewelry industry. He also made beautiful jewelry pieces for his family and friends with his own special touch. He also did remodeling and home repair on the side, his work was beautiful. Bob loved to travel; his travels included trips to China, Ireland, Mexico and the Bahamas, to name a few. He also loved to cook and prepared many exquisite holiday meals for his family and friends.
Bob was a kind and gentle soul who loved everyone. He had a quick wit and great sense of humor.
He leaves behind his mother, Jeanne Shaw; sisters, Rhonda Palmer and Jennifer Alderman; brother, Bruce Shaw; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and so many good friends.
Bob loved life and fought so hard to live.
“We love you Bob and will miss you forever, and so now you begin your new journey.”
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
